Our breast unit is located in the center of a very nice city, Hasselt (Belgium). We started in 1995 and in 2009 we treated more than 230 malignant breast lesions. We had multidisciplinary approach (gynecology, radiotherapy, radiology, oncology, plastic surgery, anatomopathology, breastnurses, psychology, ...) from the beginning and every thursday there is a multidisciplanary meeting. We work together with 3 surrounding hospitals, that direct there breast patients to our multidisciplinary staff and their pelvic oncology patients to our center. We comply with all EUSOMA requirements. The Jessa Hospital is a teaching hospital, with multiple residents participating in our breast unit.
