Our breast Unit is located in the large university hospital Alexandrovska, Sofia. In 1996 we performed breast conserving surgery for the first time in Bulgaria. Since then, more then 200 patients with breast cancer have visited our unit annualy. Preoperative chemotherapy with electroporation research was introduced in our unit by Professor Dimitar Trifonov. Nowadays we have patients with breast diseases visiting us not only from this country but from different countries of the world. We are able to offer one-visit services and our goals are to have very short waiting time and high levels of diagnostic and treatment standarts. Weekly MDM meetings help us to chart the treatment strategy for every patient with breast cancer.
