The IPOLFG Breast Unit was established in 2008 and is the largest of its kind in Portugal. Every year we receive around 1100 new referrals of patients with breast cancer. The aim of our Unit is to provide a range of integrated breast care services including prevention, diagnosis and multi-disciplinary treatment of breast cancer. All the treatment programs meet the highest standards of care and are individually tailored to suit the patient's needs. The Unit has also a major commitment to translational and clinical research, education and training.
