The Breast and Gynaecological Cancer Unit (Brust- und Tumorzentrum) is part of the University Hospital of Berne (Inselspital). The unit functions in the framework of a large university teaching hospital and is involved in translational and clinical research. It is located in the Women's Hospital (Frauenklinik) where the senology, diagnostic imaging and medical oncology units are in close geographic and organizational relationship. The Breast and Gynaecological Cancer Unit has been founded in 2004 as an institution for the interdisciplinary diagnosis and therapy of breast and gynaecological cancers.
