Our hospital is the biggest oncology hospital of our country (600 beds). Our Surgery Clinic has 4 outpatient policlinic services and 450 patients are examined per day. There is also one outpatient clinic which offers nursing facilities to these patients. More than half of our cases are related to breast diseases. About 2000 cancer surgeries per year are performed in our clinic and among these, more than 800 are breast surgeries. In our clinic, 3 rooms with 4 beds each are reserved for the patients with breast disease. In case of need, the number of beds can be increased to 25. Oncoplastic techniques are applied to appropriate patients by surgeons experienced in this field in our clinic. Our hospital is one of the few centers performing oncoplastic surgery in Turkey. Among the important developments in the field of surgical oncology in recent years, intraoperative radiotherapy, gamma-probe applications with sentinel lymph node biopsy and oncoplastic breast surgery are routine practice in our clinic.
