The Mastology Units are organizations within a care center where the different sub-specialists dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of breast pathology come together transversally to coordinate and optimize procedures. This work methodology brings more advantages for the care center, for the professionals involved and for the patients. The IMGO Mastology Unit is made up of a multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of breast pathology. In this way, a transversal and comprehensive work methodology of the situation is used. How does the Mastology unit work? Multidisciplinary Meetings are held every 14 days. All the specialists that make up the Breast Unit meet. The teams are made up of: Directory, Mastology Service, Breast Imaging, Pathological Anatomy, Clinical Oncology, Radiation Therapy, Reproductive Medicine, Medical Genetics, Rehabilitation, Mental health office Plastic and Reconstructive surgery Service, Nursing. There are currently 25 Breast Units accredited by the Argentine Society of Mastology (SAM) in Argentina and only 3 in the province of Córdoba, one of them, since 2018, is IMGO.
