The Breast Unit in 'Queen Yoanna' University Hospital was founded in 2010. In our breast center we treat patients with benign and malignant breast diseases of all stages. The multidisciplinary team includes dedicated breast surgeons, pathologists, radiotherapists and specialists in medical oncology. They meet weekly and discuss the breast cancer patients both before and after surgery, making up an uniformed and consistent approach in breast cancer treatment. Our team is highly professional and offers the best treatment opportunities to the patients (in surgeries, breast reconstructions, adjuvant and neoadjuvant settings). Since December 2015 intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) is available for early breast cancer patients.
