In our Center the up-to-date treatment of breast cancer is applied, in accordance with the consensuses and guidelines of the relevant global and European associations, such as St. Gallen Conference, ESSO, ESMO, ASCO and others. For every breast cancer patient the decision on the treatment module is made by the multidisciplinary team composed of medical oncologist, surgeon, radiologist, radiotherapist and pathologist, gathering twice a week. Breast surgery in our Center is performed since 1980, and the doctors have been educated in the relevant domestic and international centers. In 2005 the biopsy of sentinel lymph nodes, breast conserving surgery, the consulting with the plastic surgery specialists and primary breast reconstruction was introduced. Our Center is applying all the diagnostic methods of palpable and non-palpable breast lesions, together with the invasive procedures such as CORE biopsy and SVAB biopsy, performed by six educated radiologists. End of 2014 and beginning of 2015, the doctors in our Center started independently to introduce, as a routine procedure, neoadjuvant therapy of breast cancer.
