Our breast unit is located in the centre of a very nice city, Hasselt (Belgium). Our activity started in 1995, and in 2013 we treated more than 450 malignant breast lesions. We have a multidisciplinary approach (gynaecology, radiotherapy, radiology, oncology, plastic surgery, anatomopathology, breast nurses, psychology...) from the very beginning and every Thursday there is a multidisciplinary meeting. We work together with 3 surrounding hospitals, that direct their breast patients to our multidisciplinary staff and their pelvic oncology patients to our centre. We meet all the EUSOMA requirements. The Jessa Hospital is a teaching hospital, with multiple residents participating in our breast unit.
